Please reply this, how to become member of donor group, so that we can come to know what is plan and strategy for future.
There is a donate now button at the top of each page in the forum. Once you contribute /sign up for monthly subscription you will get access to the donor forum on monthly basis and your status will change from member to donor.
By becoming the donor,
- You will gain access to IV plans and updates.
- You will be able to easily communicate with IV leadership.
- You will be given access to IV conference calls and participate in the discussions.
- If your own application is in trouble and you are in a desperate situation and you have tried all other avenues, you can contact IV if you are a donor and IV will contact USCIS for you and try to get the problem fixed.

Even I am waiting for my FP from TSC.
I was thinking , that maybe , because there are so many of us who have not received FP notices, should probably send a fax or e-mail to ombudsman as a group listing our receipt numbers or maybe just names and tell them the inconsistencies from their side in issuing the FP notices.
I have a good feeling that if the letter/email or fax goes as a group , then they may take some action.
Just a idea , any inputs would be appreciated.

My lawyer is taking his own sweet time to apply. It is frustrating. Do you guys think that there is any chance that they will stop taking 485 applications at some point before 30 june? Please reply...we are worried.

The anticipated demand (that is calculated based on Pending Applications, New Applications that might become approvable and plethora of other factors including guess work) on Oct 1 2005/Oct 1 2006 was MUCH higher than 140,000 that was available for the entire year. Infact you have to break 140,000 into four quarters and apply contry quota (7%) to it since EB-3 ROW was not current on these dates. Thus it was hardly a surprise that India and China and EB-3 ROW remained retrogress on these dates.
Now fast forward to June 2007, there were 40,000 visa available in that last quarter and EB-3 ROW was in no position to consume that many that means spillover would come to India and China EB3/EB3 or else visa would be wasted in big numbers. The solution was to increase the supply and hence everything was current overnight. Until USCIS came in to spoil the party. They didn't do it in any simple way instead they choose the route of complete exhashtion and hence shutting the door.
Bottom line is: Unless demand for EB-3 ROW subsides (or it becomes current leaving substantial numbers for spillover) India EB-2 will always be cap subjected to 3200 or so visas every year. The sad part is catching up with the demand for EB-3 ROW is a moving target and thus EB-2 India might NEVER qualify for spillovers. I hope I am proved wrong by someone who has more insight.
My analysis is minimally, if at all, dependent on India, China, ROW, ...

Once the date, time, and agenda are fixed, we'll hit the roads.
We can also come out with a common flier.
Adding to this:
* Each major company in the bay area must have their own internal
network/alias. They can spread the word within and pool in more support
for this.

Guys I am looking at this thread for the first time today and want to put some comments:
1) 3 people were making hunger strike at SJSU over the last weekend for DREAM act and we come to know about it thru 1510 AM, KLIVE in Bay Area.
2) Immigration Voice members are planning to make a rally in SJ and we need to read it in the forum of (only) their website.
3) We are hungry about media coverage and want utmost attention of the congressmen about our issues.
BUT, you know what we are missing?:
1) No postings on the windows of those Bharat Bajars and Cash N Carrys and Kumuds. Can't the i-phone designers and router gurus make Ashas and Abhijeets invisible with some eye catching posters?
2) No postings on those other popular websites like murthy.com, immigration-law.com, bata.org etc. Did they say no for this?
3) No usage of the library notice boards.
4) No usage of SMS. Isn't it much cheaper than making contributions to the IV repeatedly?
I hope to see all these channels being utilized fully for July 14/21 march in Bay Area before we talk about CNNs and WPs.
Once the streets of SJ are hit with 1000+ people, those NBCs and CNNs and SJMs will come to us rather than we going to them.
As for myself, I am in whenever the event takes place and will try to bring at least 5 of my friends to the march.
P.S.: This is not an effort to criticize anyone here but just an attempt to help the organizers in whatever way I can.

It is frustrating to see that there is a campaign going on to allow for 485 filing even when pd is current and another thread running that says another fiasco would be bad .... everybody talks/writes/feels only as "what benefits them is good, everything else is not worthwhile or bad"

when american's from such third rate schools are not getting jobs, do you seriously think foreigners with their funny accents and relatively poor English communication skills (I'm Indian and can tell you its still a second language to me) can get jobs??
The market has a way of regulating itself. As someone mentioned above, there were a a lot of H1 space available from 2001-03. But it never got filled because there were simply not enough jobs. Lets not try to set up govenment intervention here....let the free market decide....that is what made this country great.
btw, NumbersuSA, FAIR and other restrictionist organizations have zero credibility because they oppose even legal immigration.
That poll....don't impress me much...

I think we should have the count of donors on the top of every page like we have the donation bar. This will give the way to see how many donors are there and then set the target to get more donors.
The shepherd has to get a bit more strict to direct the herd of sheeps.
Well said and I think the community cannot just always get, they have to learn to GIVE back (for their own cause) in this case.
It is atrocious to see people demanding action when their own contribution is ZERO (infact negative by wasting the precious bandwidth and creating divisions)
